A tasty message for Douglas and Margaret.

Thank you to all our friends at St. Quivox Parish Church for the support, encouragement and friendship over the past two and a half years.
We have been blessed and we are truly sorry to be leaving you, though we know that you are in good hands.

Moving On!

With heavy hearts we had to say our farewells to our Auxilliary Minister - Rev. Douglas Moore and wife Margaret- on Sunday 26th April, after two and a half happy years at Ayr St.Quivox Parish Church.
Douglas and Margaret have both played a vital part in supporting Rev. Rona Young and the Congregation in their own individual, caring, considerate and often humorous style which endeared them to everyone and much in evidence in our wee slideshow above.
Rev.Young made a presentation to Douglas and a basket of flowers to Margaret on behalf of the Congregations at Dalmilling and Auchincruive.
We, of course are sorry to see them moving on, but I know they firmly believe it to be God's Will, and will work very hard for their new congregation at Drongan and Coylton and we wish them every good wish and success in their new calling.
Strong friendships made are not easily broken and we look forward to staying in touch and we look forward to our 'Wee Do' later in the month to celebrate
.

Laicie Marie's Baptism

Here are some pictures of little Laicie Marie's  Baptism on Sunday the 19th. April in Auchincruive Church, the last to be carried out by Rev.Rona Young, before retiring on Sunday 3rd. May,
                 Blessing

Laicie Marie,

The Lord watch over you, this and every day,

the Lord guide your footsteps, and keep you from evil,

the Lord grant you health and strength, joy and fulfilment,

  your whole life long.

The Lord be a blessing to you,

leading you in the way of peace, wisdom, joy and humility,

so that in turn, you will be a blessing to others.

The Lord fill you with light

  and enfold you in love,

  now and evermore.

Through Jesus Christ our Lord,

Amen.

The Road to Emmaus

The Road to Emmaus

Have you ever wondered why it took the two men so long to identify Jesus?

Why they didn't recognise him? Have you ever thought you knew the face of someone in the street and it was only later that the penny dropped as to who it was?

Have a look at these blobs.  Do you see something familiar appearing out of the mess?

Spring Blossom
Easter Day Poem

With OUR EYES we see
The beauty of Easter
as the earth awakens once more...

With OUR EARS we hear
The birds sing sweetly
to tell us Spring again is here...

With OUR HANDS we pick
the golden daffodils
and the fragrant hyacinths...

But only with OUR HEARTS
can we feel the MIRACLE of GOD'S LOVE
which redeems all men...

And only with OUR SOUL
can we make our 'pilgrimage to God'
and inherit His Easter Gift of ETERNAL LIFE.

Rona Young and Abi Ngunga
Holy Week Service

There was a big surprise for Rev. Rona Young at the close of The Good Friday Service held in Newton Wallacetown Church where both she and Rev.Douglas Moore had led the Service as part of the North Ayr Grouping Holy Week Services.
Rev.Dr Abi Ngunga, local Minister, thanked both Rona and Douglas, and in his own unique style presented Rona -who retires on 3rd. May - with a lovely bouqhet of flowers on behalf of the Congregation of Newton Wallacetown Church.
