New Bowls Season Starts at Dalmilling
It is that time of year again and as the nights draw in we have to dust off the trusty wooden Bowls, unroll the Carpets and butter the Crumpets!!
And we did just that last night when we had 10 regulars were joined by a very welcome guest visitor - all the way from Utah - for the opening Bowls Night of the new season.
Three carpets were needed to accommodate the teams, who all enjoyed a night of good friendly competition, good company, a good laugh and the chance to enjoy a Crumpet or a Pancake and a cup of Tea all provided by our inspirational Leader the indomitable Lena Hollywood.
Lena was absolutely delighted with the turnout and looks forward to welcoming members old and new to come and play this simple-looking game. We meet in the Wilson Hall Dalmilling every 2nd Monday night at 7.30. No special equipment needed and you will be made most welcome.
