Auchincruive improvements

The Crypt at Auchincruive has just been given a new lease of Life.
Members of the Fabric Committee led by Gwyn Williams have adjusted and re-carpeted the floor and re-decorated, making the room more comfortable and user friendly.
Gwyn has also added a very interesting historical pictorial exhibition relating to the Oswald's of Auchincruive and their connections with the Church, the Americas, the ending of the War of Independence and Robert Burns.
Ian Fulton and David McMahon were on hand just to keep Gwyn right!

Visited today. My McCardle family are interred in the grounds. My GGG Grandfather Bernard born 1811 worked on the land , his son, my GG Grandfather David McCardle was the Station Master. His son my G Grandfather Robert was married here. Just wished the Church was open, had a wee peek in the windows though.
