Repair work is now well under way at Auchincruive Church .
In the roof-space Timber Joists have been strengthened/repaired and treated for woodworm and on the roof lead-work has skilfully been replaced. Procuring slates to provide an identical match has been difficult, but the Slater has done a marvellous job in the restoration. Elder John Black was able to help in sourcing some very large slates which are difficult to find, and helped solve a big problem - well done John!
Gwyn Williams, John Black and David McMahon lifted all the carpets inside the Church to allow a woodworm treatment to be sprayed. The carpets will be replaced this week and normal services will be resumed on Sunday 16th. October.
The project is progressing well and on schedule.
