The congregations of Ayr St.Quivox, St.James and Newton Wallacetown, came together on Sunday evening in Newton Wallacetown Church for a joint Songs of Praise Evening led by the Rev.Abi Ngunga.
Four members from each Church selected and introduced their favourite hymn to be included in the programme. In addition, the Rev.Abi Ngunga surprised everyone by singing 'On Calvary'- Unaccompanied in his own unique style. Music was provided by the 'Mini Praise Group, pictured above, namely, Pauline Johnston, Joyce Fenton, and three generations  of the McPherson famiy - Betty, Caitlin, and Dorothy McPherson.
An enjoyable and inspirational evening was rounded off with a "wee cup of tea," provided by the ladies in the Church Hall.
Trish Archibald, Pat Johnston, David McMahon and John Black selected and introduced their hymns on behalf of St.Quivox. Rev. Rona Young read a Bible Passage and Rev. Douglas Moore led the congregation in Prayer.

It was a wonderful service and a very busy church.
Thanks to all those who attended, and we look forward to the Grouping Christmas service in Dalmilling Church on December 7 at 6.30pm.
