Rev.Rona Young being unwell, she was able to find a more than able deputy in Mr Jim Morrison, from Prestwick. for Sunday Worship. The Congregations at Dalmilling and Auchincruive both enjoyed thoughtful and uplifting Services delivered in Jim's sincere style. Gwyn Williams updated the congregations on our current building projects. this was followed by the presentation of a cheque for £8605,38p - the total collected in our joint Project with St Meddan's Church, Troon, for 'Mary's Meals' - to Mrs. Sheila Smith, the local co-ordinator.Mrs Smith then gave an informative talk on the founding and the work of Mary's Meals saying it has gone from nothing 10 years ago to feeding and educating nearly one million children, telling us that for the price of one and a half Fish Suppers - £7.50 - we can feed and educate a child for a year! This in countries like Haiti where the staple diet of a number of the population is Dried Mud with Sugar!! It is not a lot of money to most of us and surely we can help.
