A visit to Turnberry was the venue for the Walking Group's first walk of the new Season. We met at Auchincruive and drove down to Turnberry. It was dry but windy and we made our way along the beach bordering the Turnberry Golf Courses where the golfers were out looking for Pars and hoping for a Birdie or two.
T here was a shower as we crossed the golf course, and we were fortunate to be able to have our picnic in a convenient shelter - not quite five star - but at least it kept us dry till the shower passed,
We crossed over the road and made our way through a farm which had many horses of all types and sizes in the paddocks and a great variety of Ducks, Hens, Rabbits and a ginormous Bubblyjock who posed and strutted about to impress his large Harem - he was magnificent!!
There was plenty of interest and a Coffee & Farm Shop as we made our way alongside rhe hotel back to the Car park.
We made the short trip towards Girvan to a welcome Farm Coffee Shop for a hot drink before making our way back to Auchincruive to pick up the Cars.
