There were 17 happy souls, our trusty Driver Ian included, on the Coach which left from Dalmilling Church and included in our number were three special visitors from Long Island in America - Margaret Jackson and Bubby & Cathy Dayio, here on holiday with Margaret's mum Margaret O'Hara. We drove up to Glasgow, through the Clyde Tunnell, via Milngavie on the A81 to Killearn where we stopped at the Oakwood Garden Centre for a look around and an enjoyable Lunch. Suitably refreshed we drove to Loch Katrine Pier via Aberfoyle and the scenic Duke's Pass where we joined a throng of tourists to board the Steamship, the famous S.S. Sir Walter Scott for a most enjoyable Cruise passing through some exceptional scenery in glorious sunshine.
We then set off in our Coach for the short journey along the shores of Loch Venacher to the picturesque town of Callander for a wee bit of shopping and a cup of tea and a scone before setting off for Stirling and joined the Motorway for a speedy return trip, arriving back at Dalmilling at 7pm.Everyone agreed Ian, our driver, had done a great job in taking us there and getting us back home in one piece - and all had enjoyed a great day out to the Trossachs.
